any helpful hints??

Update: We borrowed a steamer from a contractor friend and all the paper is finally off! We will sand and patch tomorrow, and hopefully I will have an "after" soon!

As I mentioned in my last post, we are moving over to the dining room. Here is the mess we have created to date! Does anyone have any good advice for removing stubborn wallpaper? This just doesn't want to budge!

Score the paper with a razor blade. Then spray water on it. Let it soak for a while. Then scrape with a putty knife.

If you have a clothes steamer, it works wonders too-- just don't get burned.

Thanks grannysmithgreen! I am trying the steamer now, just waiting for it to heat up. I will keep you posted how it goes! :)

Steamer. I have stripped many MANY rooms, and buying or renting a steamer is your best bet.

Your living room looks fabulous, btw!

According to my official paper remover-spray with hot water and pray.
