Spa Weekend

I am heading North this weekend to go here. My bestest friend J and I started going away for a weekend spa get away eleven years ago (we have been friends since nursery school though), back when we had no money, just needed to get out of town for a weekend. She had just broken up with her boyfriend of 4 years and I had just been laid off from my job at an architectural firm. (hence the no $$) We have been going almost every year and recently missed a couple. We moved, kids, and she recently fought (successfully) breast cancer. Well, this weekend we are off! I am very excited. It has been a long week. (about to get longer because we are hosting the Kindergarten parent dinner tomorrow night) and I am ready to get away! I have started my list for John (epi-pens are accessible, food has been bought...) and I am getting packed (even though it is only Wednesday!) John is even letting us take his Saab! He can cruise around in the minivan! Last time we went on our spa weekend we went here and we drove up in John's grandmothers old car only to find a Porsche convention going on! Not that I am a car snob or anything....much happier to be zipping up in the Saab though! We may even try to hit the outlets in Kittery. There is a Hanna Andersson outlet up there and I will hopefully find some good bargains for the boys. Although after my Talbots purchases from a few weeks ago they are set for the next two years! (thanks again Preppy Sue!)

This sounds like so much fun! Enjoy yourselves!

Let me know how the Hanna outlet is, I've never been, but they tempt me with emails all the time.
